Am 08.09. fuhr unser VdK – Ortsverband Heiligkreuz – Mariahof - Trier Süd
zur fröhlichen Tagestour nach Koblenz.
Dort stiegen wir bei schönstem Wetter und guter Laune auf`s Schiff zur schönen Burgenfahrt auf dem Rhein.

Danach ging es mit dem Bus weiter nach Mendig zum Lava Dome und Vulkanpark.

Unsere Vorsitzende Christa Schwarz hatte nicht zuviel versprochen, denn dass muss man gesehen haben.

Es wurde ein toller Film zu Beginn gezeigt, wie vor 200 Tausend Jahren der Lavastrom von Maria Laach so wuchtig war.
Anschließend ging es in den „Lava Dome“, 150 Stufe in die Tiefe, oder wer wollte mit dem Aufzug in die Mendiger Unterwelt.
Bei einer Luftfeuchtigkeit von 72
Nach 3 Std. Besichtigung mit einem tollen Führer ging es durch die schöne Eifel nach Strotzbüsch, wo ein Abendbüffet auf uns wartete.

Frohgelaunt ging es um 20 Uhr wieder nach Hause.
